Asimina Gkioni
Dental Surgeon, MSc Endodontology - Endodontist

Asimina Gioni was born and raised in Piraeus, Attica. In 2011 he graduated from the School of Dentistry of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. Before her departure for the United Kingdom, she worked for a year and a half in a large endodontic clinic in Athens, where she acquired her special love for the field of Endodontics.

In 2012 she moved to the United Kingdom where she worked for 6 years in two modern clinics in Wales. There she offered dental services to thousands of patients, gaining extensive experience in the entire range of general dentistry, always emphasizing the health, aesthetics and comfort of the patient. In 2016, she completed three years of postgraduate studies and received the title of Master of Endodontics (MSc) from UCLan University, United Kingdom with an Honors degree in her thesis.

In the following years, Mrs Gkioni received referrals from fellow dentists to complete complex endodontic cases.

Afterwards, she returned to Greece with her family and runs the SMILES PLACE dental office in Holargos Attica with her husband. There she accepts endodontic cases with the aim of relieving the patient of pain and saving even the most damaged teeth from extraction. She undertakes complex endodontic treatments (root canal treatments), deals with the treatment of dental trauma and the diagnosis of orofacial pain.

In addition, from 2021 she works in the endodontic department of the Dental Center of the National Bank Staff Health Fund (TYPET).

​

She has participated in numerous post-educational seminars and conferences and is a member of the Dental Association of Attica, of British Endodontic Society and her European Society of Endodontics.
